Responsibilities:
- Position is responsible for local accounts and other appropriate contacts and involves regular visits, expanded account penetration (to include executive management, purchasing, technical, R&D, sales/marketing, manufacturing functions), presentations on products/technologies and active participation in field trials/demonstration projects. Individual must have strong technical foundation to interpret/ address customer issues with raw materials, formulations, manufacturing, applications, troubleshooting. This is an all-encompassing position where the individual must network extensively with all available resources to bring maximum value to the business.
- Position is responsible for rendering technical support and services for our local customers in the China Region. Be present and participate when needed in laboratory evaluations, test deck applications, demonstration projects. Gather and maintain competitive intelligence.
- Train customers, contractors, national and provincial agencies, private road owners, and municipalities, on the use, application and benefits of Degaroute Cold Plastic. In addition, the person is responsible for training and support of Road Marking personnel in the region and the technical cooperation with co suppliers (e.g. glass bead mfgs.), equipment vendors and universities / institutes.

Requirements:
-B.S. in Chemistry, Engineering or similar
- 7 + year’s industry experience in a technical sales capacity for road marking and / or application equipment. Experience in the civil engineering or related construction field is preferred
- Intimate knowledge of construction industry and the product approval processes
- Knowledge of coatings raw materials, formulating, manufacture and application processes
- Basic knowledge of PCs, e-mail, SAP, standard office suite programs.
- Pride in appearance and ethics; professionalism; very well-organized
- Intimate knowledge of construction industry and the product approval processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills including one-on-one interactions, presentations to groups
- Excellent written and telephone skills
- Ability to visualize, acquire, and manage high-level customer relationships to augment day to day contacts

Purpose of the position:
This position supports the endorsed Asia market expansion program for DEGAROUTE? methacrylate resins. The business is focused exclusively on the durable road marking market segment. This position is responsible for all aspects of organizing and managing the technical service to support the current business and to increase awareness of the benefits of durable methacrylate road markings at potential customers. Productive relationships with striping contractors, glass bead manufacturers, application equipment manufacturers, distributors and other road marking industry partners are also imperative to seek out and ‘pull through’ business opportunities as part of our value-added marketing and technical support program for the accounts. The overall mission is to successfully support a highly-complex sales channel involving many strategic industry contacts
