Marketing Manager
Position Summary:
The marketing manager is a member of the China Leadership team and provides market based strategy that enables and support business financial results. Primary responsibilities include
Develop and execute key marketing plans to support business financialsLead a team of Marketing professionals ( includes segment marketing leaders) in China & Taiwan with ability to assess strengths and providing them functional guidance to enhance their competencies and skill setsDirect responsibility for Refinish Marketing and Pricing functionDrive Brand based product mix strategyDevelop and execute Key Account Management and Central billing strategyWork closely with the Regional Marketing team to ensure alignment of country tasks with regional strategiesDrive product launches through “Value proposition and total offering” approach
The incumbent will work closely with all the functions to ensure that execution is in line with the business results
This is a role for Marketing Professional with experience in a number of the marketing sub-disciplines and a demonstrated ability to successfully execute strategy in a network organization
This position will report to the President, China and will take functional guidance from Marketing Director, Asia Pacific
Qualifications & experience
· Marketing Leader for complex product / brand lines
· 10 years of working in core marketing competencies , including a 3 year Marketing leadership role
· MBA with specialization in Marketing management is a plus
· Demonstrated track record in key Marketing competencies
· Knowledge of digital communications media such as websites and e-marketing
· Ability to build and manage cross-functional teams and work in a matrixed organization.
· Hands on experience developing marketing strategy & planning, brand promotions and value propositions
· Background in Branding, Pricing, Channel strategy
· Exposure to coating industry

· Strong interpersonal skills, networking ability and team building capabilities
· Expertise in Marketing strategy, pricing, branding, value proposition and marketing communication
· Demonstrated ability to work with a high-degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to evaluate competitive intelligence, market conditions and understanding of our business’ differentiation factors to develop the insight required to craft business and marketing plans
· Ability to package the products / services offered to a given market as solution that meets their needs and provides the desired value
· Ability to effectively manage the pricing process from price strategy to price setting to execution and performance management. Ability to work closely with Sales in setting prices and executing price
· Understanding of the difference between transactional trademarks and true brands. Knowledge of how brands are differentiated and the concept of brand equity
