Business  Development  Manager  –  Liquid  Industrial  Coatings  China

Reporting  Line  Business  Manager  China 
Responsibility: 
l  Lead  new  business  growth  initiative  for  assigned  market  segments  in  area  of  liquid  industrial  coatings   
l  Evaluate  alternative  growth  model  such  as  JV,  partnership  and  M&A 
l  Gain  market  segment  insights  over  high  quality  customer  calls  and  secondary  market  research, 
l  Conduct  competitive  study  and  analysis,  explore  and  identify  unmet  needs  of  customers,  capture  key  trends  in  the  market  segments   
l  Define  Axalta’s  best  strategy  to  penetrate  the  market  segments 
l  Work  with  product,  marketing  and  R&D  functions  to  define  product  offerings,  pricing  and  promotion  strategy 
l  Work  with  supporting  functions  to  define  supply  chain  strategies   
l  Identify  and  build  relationships  with  top  customers  in  the  respective  segments 
l  Define  route  to  market,  identify  distribution  partners  where  needed 
l  Best  leverage  internal  resources  to  service  customers,  recruit  additional  resources  when  needed   
l  Realize  commercial  sales  to  first  three  or  five  accounts  in  year  2014 
l  Build  business  plan  to  grow  the  segments  to  sizable  business  in  3-5  years’  time   

Qualifications: 
l  University  degree  in  chemicals,  material  science,  engineering  or  business  management,  MBA  Plus 
l  Above  ten  years’  experience  of  sales,  marketing,  business  development  or  technical  service  in  relevant  industries 
l  Excellent  sales  development  capability  with  a  successful  track  record 
l  Industry  /  product  knowledge  as  well  as  technical  service  expertise  in  the  target  segments,  or  alternatively, 
l  Capability  to  quickly  learn  enough  product  and  technical  knowledge  to  work  with  potential  customers  independently 
l  Demonstrated  entrepreneurship 
l  Prior  leadership  experience  in  multinational  organizations 
l  Experience  in  building  a  new  business  team  desired 
l  Experience  in  Business  Partnerships  （M&A,  Licensing,  JV）  plus 
l  High  potential  professional  with  passion  over  building  new  businesses  and  new  organization 
l  Excellent  communication  skills 
l  Great  team  work  person 
l  Good  command  of  both  spoken  and  written  English   
l  High  ethical  standard
