Marketing Leader –OEM China
Position Summary:
The marketing leader is a member of the OEM leadership team in China and provides market based strategy that enables and supports business financial results. Primary responsibilities
Develop business opportunity pipeline and execute plans to support business financialsUnderstand competitive dynamics in detail and develop counter strategies to realize opportunitiesPeriodic / ongoing market intelligence to understand customer growth plans, new customers , new products & new technologyIn depth understanding of pricing dynamics and develop detailed pricing strategy (customers/ layers) to maximize contribution Develop plans to grow with local accounts Execute global Key Account Management strategyYearly plans for participation in industry forums / meetings Work closely with China Marketing communication team on all support activities
This is a role for a strategy professional with experience in understanding competitive dynamics, driving projects, putting together a marketing (business growth) strategy and drive execution across network of sales team
This position will report to the Business Manager, OEM, China and will take functional guidance from Global Vice President Marketing - OEM
Qualifications:
· Ability to manage cross-functional teams and work in a matrix organization.
· Broad background in strategic and tactical Pricing
· Degree in Science with MBA
Experience
· 10 years of working in business development and developing / executing marketing strategies
· Experience in working with a network organization
· Ability to quickly assimilate content, assess impact and develop responses
· Capacity and flexibility to manage multiple opportunities/issues simultaneously
· Experience in the coatings industry
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to evaluate competitive intelligence, market conditions and understanding of our business’ differentiation factors to develop the insight required to craft business and marketing plans
· Ability to understand our capabilities ( product, marketing, technical support) and create opportunities in line with these capabilities
· Knowledge of applications, product and customers
· Adequate skill set to develop win-win value propositions for customers & Axalta
